“Working with the Baronet Group has been very beneficial for a Clinical Research and Healthcare Organisation like P1vital. From protocol development, training and initiation to recruitment and monitoring, it has been wonderful to work with such a committed group of researchers in primary care.”
P1Vital – CEO, September 2017
“I have worked with Baronet on a recent COPD study. In my experience, they were very professional to work with. Requests for feasibility information were turned around in a very short time-frame; data quality was excellent and site staff were a pleasure to work with.”
GSK - Project Manager, September 2017
“I have been responsible for recruitment in a number of large clinical trials during the past 20 years. The process and indeed the structure of patient care has certainly changed during this time. It is now therefore essential to seek the cooperation of an individual’s general practitioner at every stage.
The care of patients following a hospital admission or indeed for many conditions which previously would have fallen to secondary care are now under the wing of primary care.
It is therefore essential that primary care is involved in recruitment and follow up for many clinical trials. Individual practices may have the knowledge and will to be involved but it is far from ideal to have a number of possibly small sites scattered around the country.
We were very happy to make contact with the BARONET group. Not only were they very focused on research with knowledge of the increasing rules and regulations required but they worked as a group of 9 practices. They therefore supported each other, helped with the inevitable issues of recruitment of patients and their central administration was an easy point of contact for the trial manager. They successfully recruited for a large hypertension study(PREMIUM) with us and the process worked extremely well. Monitoring of the sites was painless and the data collected were of good quality.
In all BARONET had a very pleasant relationship with the central coordinating team and we look forward to working with them again in the future.”
Dr. Andrew Whitehouse, Clinical Research Fellow, Imperial College London
“I have worked with BARONET twice in the past two years. On both occasions I have found recruitment levels to be well above that which were anticipated. The centres were able to get off the mark very quickly and experience really shone through when helping us identify some of the process issues that we had not been able to anticipate at a planning level.
The model adopted by BARONET means that communication from a sponsor perspective is simple and effective, I have no hesitation in recommending this group and look forward to working with them in the future.”

"PCRN(SW) have worked effectively with BARONET for a number of years. They have successfully engaged with us since the inception of the Network. We value their support in achieving delivery with respect to both commercial and increasingly non commercial NIHR studies. As well as this, they support the Network with the wider research effort. They provide advice within their field of expertise and also contribute to feasibility work aimed at enabling the delivery of NIHR studies that can be successfully executed within primary care"
